Relax kind of workout today

Same routine as yesterday, only we woke up later and I took my camera jogging with us. Which meant I got a little carried away with taking pictures and we didn’t go as far. Not to mention we didn’t RUN… lol! I decided I wanted to just do a nice brisk walk to keep the exercise going but be a little easier on myself.

Still doing it...

I skipped running yesterday to give my body a break. I’m sure its in shock after kind of being thrown back into workout mode after such a long hiatus.

Porter woke up at 7am this morning while camping, so I decided we’d get up and go for an early run. I don’t know how far we ran, but it seemed similar in distance to yesterday. It was a little easier to run today, and I felt like I ran longer in between walking breaks.

We’re walking the dunes later this morning. My body is going to be yelling at me, that’s for sure.

Day 1

I decided last night to join LeeAnn in a 5K on September 6th.

Yes, you heard me... just 3 weeks away.

Did I mention I haven't been running on about a year?

So, today I ran. And walked. I tried to pace myself and listen to my body.

Unfortunately I didn't have to listen hard as it was screaming "NO! Stop this abuse!" LOL!

I was also pushing Porter in the jogging stroller (I'd like to get him latched onto the idea of running and eventually when he's older have a running buddy!), so that was an easy 40lbs extra for me to push.

My distance today was just under 1.5 miles. I'll be paying for this tomorrow, I'm sure.
